Really disappointed, this series is pretty boring. Too many things are staged or at least it's more obvious than in the last series, car tests aren't as good either. Carkson hardly said anything about the GTR, the RS6 road test was useless. I know, let's test the most powerful estate car racing down a mountain road full of ice and snow against some guys who will win no matter what means of "transport" they'll be using.

Was waiting a good year for the test of the Evo X that I might actually buy in the future and it was just hopeless. I mean seriously, all he said about it was that a) it's complicated and B) it's easy to control. For f**k sake, I know that. They're not testing supercars but cars which look ordinary and have superior performance, why don't they line them up against a Porsche or something like they did with the FQ400 and the Murcielago.

edit: might also rant about the news, it's so predictable. You know that for half the time they'll be talking about the Dacia, road signs and what Clarkson has found on the internet. It was funny the first two times but doing the same thing 4 episodes in a row isn't.

Exactly what makes the show hilarious and appealing for ALL kinds of audience they receive. Its a hard job but I think they're doing pretty well. But yeah at the end of the day, you're right.

Don't get me wrong, I love Top Gear. Couldn't live without it. Far prefer them to stage things rather than have a boring and uneventful challenge - but don't make the staged bits so obvious. The Britcar race was amazing mainly because you knew it was for real. Series 10 was amazing so I had high expectations for the 11th one. Overall TG has been getting better and better with every series but this one is a bit of a let down. Isn't it time they had a "how hard can it be" challenge? :P

I really liked it from series one. When it was on on thursday nights, for half an hour.

It changed dramatically when it went to sundays. Don't get me wrong, I still love it, but it's not the same show.

I'm more a car fan than I am a TV entertainment fan, so I kinda like the nerdy lap times and 0-60 BS. The star in the reasonably priced car has and always will annoy me. I just don't care, show me something awesome.

This series has been OK. But nothing can live up to 1. The South USA challenge and 2. The Artic challenge. Both of which I own in thier box set on DVD.

really liked that episode.

as for the GTR, they stated there. that the gtr had a time of 3.5 seconds 0-60, but according to wiki, its been verified at 3.2,

now i was basing it on the 3.5, but surely if they released/someone decided to strip one out. they could have a car that does it in 3.0 seconds or there abouts.

Really liked that episode, clarksons comments on the hunt were pure genious- mainly the emergency call.

I would have the roller deffinatly, although the merc is very nice. GTR's time was mental, and that new merc slk (?) black looks amazing, will be interesting to see how it compares to the maclaren.

why did a guy show up on a grass cutter in Japan anyway?

Rite, well, i guess that was just the paramedic service!!!! lol.

I was quite annoied how short the feature on the GTR was, i thought they had finally got round to doing some full length features like 'back in the day'.

Awesome episode though, i have liked this series so far but i really really really want some more features on cars not just the scripted comedy shizzle.

But i want one of those Mercedes! It looked so mean!
