Tom_
Anyone got any info on this new GTR? What make is it for a start? Is it a Veyron beater? No way, having scanned through the spec, not a chance. Top speed 193mph, doesnt give a 0-60 but I cant imagine it beats the 2.4 (or whatever insanness the veyron does it in) that the veyron acheives, I recon it might handle better though... I doubt there will be any serious production car in the future that will compete in anyway with the veyron, it was done as an experiment, every one that was sold VW made somthing silly like a 1.5million loss... It was just too see how fast they could get the car to go without it being a race car... EDIT: I have no idea how a veyron handles, having never driven one (never will either) Im just guessing really... Greetings
:D Will edit when i stop smiling edit: Unfortunately Top Gear is very misleading at times, what Tom_ has written was said in the show but that's not true. What they did to get that number was divide the total project cost by the number of sold cars at that time (which was about 100). So when they've reached the 300 limit, they will probably have made a profit. In terms of performance, the SSC has the world record for top speed and world record for handling, beating the Ferrari Enzo around some track they use to test these things officially. So in terms of performance, the Veyron isn't the best. It's quite impressive considering how luxurious it is though.
