Any will do really, before you start paying 'premium' prices they're all much the same.

Just make sure you get your domain separately (from a domain registrar, eg domainmonster.com). Then buy your hosting. Then follow the instructions on how to link your domain to your hosting account. If you buy your domain from your hosting company there is a good chance that they'll steal it off you once your hosting runs out - so its best to register it yourself under your own name.

Hostgator.com is the only one I can think of off the top of my head for hosting - its pretty cheap.

Be careful, when you buy a lot of domains at the cheaper places - they dont actually include any control software (ie you cant setup your domain or sort any forwarding without paying extra) - if this happens and you dont want to pay I use zoneedit, which is a free control pannel type thing :D

I usually head towards 34sp.com - not the cheapest but at the same time not run by numpties, there are cheaper out there but not often backed by decent support and server uptime, if you want the dogs danglies head towards media temple, they host just about everyone whos anyone.

(check ebay if your not after much in the way of services, I got a .com domain, 15gb monthly bandwidth and 2gb space for £15 a year... although after 3 years the host died and disapeared off the face of the planet :D)

True. Just for the record, domainmonster.com is the only one I've found to be any good which gives you full control over all aspects of your domain, including glue, a and mx records - and its as cheap as anywhere else.
