Skoze
Boil kettle, pour water into bowl, but end of handlebars in bowl, leave for a few minutes, pull off That's what i do
Ben John-Hynes
Normal or Lock-on? With notmal, I usually roll them up so there's not as much grip in contact with the bars and just pull!
G-baby158
lube it up and twist off

Tom_
Yea sam either cut em off, or get a thinish screwdriver, shove it as far under the grip as you can get it, and squirt water/lube/hairspray under there, pull screwdriver out, and twist. psycholist
If the grip is stiff enough (Not one of the really thin sticky rubber grips) you can use the brake lever to push it off - just loosen the lever clamp and slide it against the grip, this will bulge the end of the grip and unstick it enough to allow it to slide off. This works best with thick grips.

forteh
Use petrol to put the grips on and you have no problems getting them off My odi roughnecks are worn super thin now and I can just roll them off the bars, a splash of petrol inside, slide them on and let them dry for 5-10 mins before riding and its all good. Nickkkkk
i just get a thinish tea-spoon and push it down the tube. lift the spoon away from the handlebars and then spit into the gap you have made, even really stiff one should take just two spits lol. twist the grip when you have spit. p.s some people give some shocking advice Nick
froggy
Get a thin straw the ones that come with the cans of WD40 are prefect and wedge it under the grip and spray WD40 underneath it, slowly work it loose and it'll slide off.
Fishy
Use petrol to put the grips on and you have no problems getting them off Don't use petrol, it 'melts' grips.
forteh
Don't use petrol, it 'melts' grips. Thats why Ive used it without a problem for the last 10 years with all my grips (motorbikes/jump bike/trials bike/bmx) Go on try it, watch your grips melt into a steaming piece of molten rubber
Sam Ward
Don't use petrol, it 'melts' grips. assuming youve learnt from personal experiance i would say your a bit 'special' if you managed to set fire to them with petrol on
Nickkkkk
stop being stupid! using petrol will make your grips stink for ages and feel weird, just spit on the buggers why go to such extremes when the simple stuff works well when done properly Nick Edited June 10, 2008 by Nickkkkk

Nickkkkk
lol have you ever bled your brakes and got oil all over your grips? (rhetorical question) If so you will know they feel spongy and slippy for days after, can't be bothered arguing all i know is petrol isn't needed for removing grips xxx Nick

Sam Jones
I got them off the way skoze had said. It was brilliant. Seriously easy. I did modify the method a bit. I used boiling water a screw driver and the brake lever. Soaked the grip whilst the screw driver was stuck between the grip and handlebars. then i used the brake lever to pull it off. cheers for the help.
