spartan
Ok so i live in ottawa and i am currently using 7 year old avid sd3 brake arms. I went to my local shop and since im a good customer they gave me some free avid ultimate arms but they need a right side brake arm spring kit. The only sram dealers in Canada are norco and lambert neither carry the spares. So now i have brand new mint condition 150 buck brake arms that are usless. I remember reading in a topic a while ago about a way to rig them outta the sd7 or old deore spring kits. Does anyone know how this works and if so thanks a million in advance. CurtisRider
i used deore ones, just press the washer off the top of the assembly and it will be obvious when its in pieces if my memory serve me right you could also rape your sd3 arms for parts

CurtisRider
through the arm? as in the bush? i think on sd7s you also can prise off a washer to undo the gubbins
manuel
you can pinch sd7 bits - but you have to cut off the bit that the arm spins on, as the utlimate uses bearings not a bushing... thats what I did when mine broke ...
spartan
I have succesfully made a set of spring kits for the ultimates out of an sd7 one. I shall post a how to in the wiki pending a test ride.
