spartan
The top 3 or 4 threads on my left side blue rock vee pad are stripped. I tried rethreading but no luck. Im pretty sure i need new pads now but dont really want to go back to the rocks again ive had bad luck with them. I want the Heatsink red pads but i doubt they come for vees. To be honest ive been thinking about going to maguras for a while as ive had alot of trouble with my vees. Can you get the heatsinks red in a vee pad?? Do the echo brakes leak alot or should i just get a magura with an echo lever blade (i hate the magura ones) or should i just stick with vees?? Thanks guys, Ian

forteh
Heatsink cnc vees or get a magura with an RB lever, more power and more comfortable than a magura
Luke Rainbird
Best brake pads I've ever used - I was out in the pissing rain last night on an extremely light/dead grind, and they didn't let me down once
Caleb
i always thought the threads into the metal backings of pads were just a metal threaded insert that can be replaced? Replacing would be a much cheaper option
spartan
Yeah you can replace them because the pad is just pressure fit into the backing. But because mine kept ripping out i had to use epoxy to glue mine into the backing and the stuff i used has a breaking strength thats like over 1000 pounds soo... Where can i get the red heatsinks though, hbtrials dont have them and neither does webcyclery?? Also, are the echo levers as comfortable as the dangerboy ones, i hear that they tend to cause blisters??

Luke Rainbird
If you can't find anywhere closer to home, then Steve at Heatsink can do international orders. Trials-UK also have them in stock, and I'd imagine Dan would be able to sort out overseas postage. Heatsink Site Trials-UK
Jason222
Also, are the echo levers as comfortable as the dangerboy ones, i hear that they tend to cause blisters?? I've found that the older echo ones had some sharp edges, and weren't as comfortable. The new echo levers are alright, but there seems to be some play when you put them on a magura. My personal favorite would be the adamant or czar levers. And don't get an echo brake, they suck. Maguras are alright if you get them setup properly... spartan
Yeah trialspads only has the red refills and i have the cnc backings already but like i said i have the pads epoxied in. Does anyone know how to remove them. I have heard lots of good things bout the reds but are they better then the rock blue vee pads?? And if i cant get the blue stuff out of the backings then how much would the pads be in CAD. Cuz normally brake pads are like 25-35 bucks but 19 euros is more then that isnt it?? Thanks, Ian

Does anyone know how to remove them. Glue isn't strong in peal, so try and peal them out using a vice. In fact, I'd carefully try with my teeth at the back first of all! I have heard lots of good things bout the reds but are they better then the rock blue vee pads?? I'm sure that you'll be pleased with the reds' performance. And if i cant get the blue stuff out of the backings then how much would the pads be in CAD. Cuz normally brake pads are like 25-35 bucks but 19 euros is more then that isnt it?? Thanks, Ian The Euro hasn't replaced our currency yet (although it may in the future!), so all prices are in GB pounds. You can easily convert the cost using a site like www.xe.com.
