Ecstasy?

I don't need to get high, I get high off of life.

What do you actually mean though? If I take drugs am I not alive? My high is one of death if it's not life? Such a vague cliche that nearly makes enough sense to operate as a form of propaganda.

Drugs are a part of life if you take them - life is in fact a prerequisite for taking drugs! You don't see a stone ingesting ecstacy and then dancing around the room telling you how much he loves you. You seem to think then that all the activities you engage in are life and all drug activities are something else?

I could be much more pedantic but I won't.

edit: I've noticed my patience wearing slightly. Apologies to you Fugley if I seem harsh.

I do find it funny that those here who say they've haven't tried drugs, never will and are flat out against them seem to be the most mis-informed and closed minded. Those who have or do take drugs on the other hand appear to be able to see both sides of the arguement and know the risks involved, which is good.

You don't really have to have taken any drugs to be open minded though? I haven't taken any and I don't really plan on doing so 'cos I know me well enough by now to know I'd end up f**king myself up with them. I think a lot of people really are just stuck on the whole high school/government education shit. "I get high on life" was actually a slogan I saw on an 'anti-pot' campaign in Ride US magazine.

So why should you let their decisions be your absolute guide?

I have very little knowledge about drugs and their effects which is probably obvious from what i've wrote in this topic, the only way someone will truely know is by taking them. I have no intention of finding out the hard way, and i will have no idea what they would so to me long term untill it's too late. So i'm going to let their decisions be an absolute guide.

Of course alcohol will have an increased death rate because more people do it than take drugs...

That's a good point.

On charts and graphs like this there should be "Alchol abuse" and "Sensible drinkers of alchol".

I'm going to go ahead and assume here that your trials bike has reflectors on both pedals, a working front and rear light, and that you never ride it anywhere other than on the road, in a safe and controlled manner? Oh, wait...

I ride with a helmet, lights front and back. I decided what i need and don't need when i'm on my bike and long time ago, i also decided that what i do on my bike is relativly low risk. I will quite happilly break the law when on my bike becuase "not having lights" on my bike at night i feel isn't a big deal than what the law was intended for. The police woman that stopped me when i had no lights on my bike didn't understand that my bike had £250 worth of stopping power, and a top speed of a slow jogger. And i was also riding it in a well lit area consideratly.

I agreed with the police woman that she was just doing her job, and told her to do what she's got to do. She took my name and that was about it.

Comparing all this to ecstasy, if you think your ok taking it, done a lot of thinking about it and really know what your getting into, and your prepared to take the consiquences if you get caught or seriously ill, and i don't know you. Then it's not a problem from my point of view. Even though your still handing money over to scum of the earth.

Note that topic was from 2006.

Doesn't that mean there should be 'ecstasy abuse' and 'sensible users of ecstasy' along with pretty much every other drug on that list. With the exception of heroin

Maybe so.

Also to add, how it should be is tobacco and alchol should be iligal. But becuase they are legal now there would be uproar if they were taken away.

The government can't exactly ban them, but they can't start making some drugs legal just becuae they're safer than tobacco and alchol.

cba reading all the wives tales undoubtably littered in this thread, if you want to try it try it, preferably off someone you trust but its highly unlikely anything bad will happen.

It is verrry nice, I used to have a bloody good laugh on grinners. The main downside from my experience using them being, your not gonna want to go riding the next day like you would after a night spent drinking. So go to church instead or rehab or life drawing classes, anything to take your mind off smoking weed on a comedown, you'll be playing those midweek blues otherwise.

As opposed to narrow minded people giving under-educated responses? ;)
