HarshRider Posted June 12, 2008 Report Share Posted June 12, 2008 to be honest we live in a society where most people aren't particularly happy and there for really on drugs to help them become more confident, happy or just to relax because they feel they can't do this without drugs, weather this is alcohol, fags or ecstasy. even as a speak im drinking a strongbow right now and why, to relax me. as far as it comes down to weather or not you take ecstasy, that is completely up to you, you don't need a forum telling you your going to die from taking it or how good the buzz is, you just have to realize are you prepared for what ever may happen e.g. potentially ending up become addicted which could ruin your life. personally im not down with it, the furthest i go is alcohol. i think i was 17 pages to late to give an opinion any way Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However I should imagine the majority of the deaths wern't to do with Ecstasy itself, they were to do with dehydration. Imagine the huge raves going on in warehouses, squats and such in remote parts of the country - thousands of people with no air conditioning / ventilation and probably no access to water. You could say the same about heroin though - most of the long term problems of it are not a result of the drug itself, but poor sanitary conditions that junkies use to inject - shared needles and water from the shitter etc. They wouldn't happen without the drug though, and it's the same with ecstasy. I was just explaining why it's a class A really. Obviously as time has gone on and you compare the two, there is no way you can say Ecstasy is as destructive as Heroin - yet they remain in the same class! The post contradicts itself, as OBM already pointed out through the medium of perfume AFAIK MDMA is the active ingredient in ecstacy isn't it? Also, Tyler smokes dope, which is suspected to cause schitzophrenia, although correlation is not causation as they say. What is the corresponding mental illness caused by taking ecstacy? If you can't answer the question then you can't justify 'just smoking weed', as it's clearly the more dangerous drug. As confirmed by the earlier graph. It could be brought on by anything, its just the fact that the government are getting tough on drugs that they got a load of so called "experts" to say there "could" be a link. Even the governments advisors are saying not to reclassify the drug because the side effects are minimal. Plus you're forgetting the links with cannabis and its positive effects on various medical conditions such as multiple schlerosis, epilepsy and spasms. Its also been used for thousands of years to reduce vomitting and nausea. Okay, so maybe smoking it is bad due to the risk of lung cancer etc, but at least you get a high from it compared to fags. And before any wise ass decides to reply and say "just dont smoke"...one, dont knock it till you've tried it, and two, if i chose to risk my life by blazing a reefer now and again, thats my choice, i'm not forcing you lot to do it am i. The point is not that either is dangerous, in fact it's that neither should be considered dangerous; someone who smokes weed should not be able to self-reitchously look down on someone who takes pills, for 'putting their life at risk just to have a good time'.
