Diz
Hi guys, I've recently got back into trials and the freehubs gone on my bike. Its a diamond back kabuki mono (i know a lot of you hate it but its a good starter for the money). Anyway, the freehubs wrecked on it, not ideal when you're trying to hop off or across big gaps or drops!? I'm struggling to find a replacement for it or even to get the bloody thing off. Anyone know how i can get it off and where to buy a decent quality replacement? If you guys could help me out i'd appreciate it. Cheers. Diz. P.s. Any riders around the south wales area drop me a line...i'm stuggling to find people to session with.
otaylor38
i was trying to get one off last week but i cudnt so i took it to e bike shop. the man there cudnt do it at first but when i left it with him he got a few people to hold a chissel while he hit it with a big hammer (i wudnt like to be the one holdint the chissel just incse he missed lol) so it may be best that you take it to your local bike shop and ask them to do it. i was wondering also i have a freewheel on order and forgot to check the thread size. The thread size it mx30 is this standard or will it not fit my bike??? Thanks and i hope that helped
forteh
Ditch the hub and put a proII trials in there, no point trying to replace an incapable freehub
Diz
Fair enough. Its a formula alloy hub so it is pretty rubbish, i was just trying to save a bit of money.
