davey1991
I have managed to brake my wheel fron the inside out I was riding my specialized p1 jump bike and all of a sudden ti felt like my brakes where pulling and there was some seriosuly nasty squeeking noises,. I took the bike home and took the front wheel of expecting the brake to have blown up or something like that but when i looked nothing was wrong with the brake, i cleaned everything down and put it back together. when i rode it again the serious drag and squeeking. I took the wheel off again and took it apart, when i took the axle bolts of i was greeted by lots of lovely aluminium shards and powder, a couple of flattened bearings and a seriously messed up hub, what has happened is one of the bolts that holds the bearings has been shattered i don't know how the hell i managed it but all i do know is it is a mess, ill put some picks up asap, its gonna take me alot of time and alot of money to get this sorted..... psycholist
Sounds like you'll need a new hub - possibly one of these: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=1584 though you can go cheaper...
