They are up tight about age in most places at the start of the night but as it gets later they couldn't give a shit in my experience. Other way round, the busier it gets inside the stricter they are on who they will let in. For example not a chance in hell if your wearing trainers/already drunk/Your proof of age is even slightly questionable anytime from 11 onwards. and your chances wont improve much before 11 either Can't see the group of friends thing working either. I am only 17 so never been inside any of the "decent" places to go in Oxford because they are so shit hot on ID's. But all the guys I work with who do go out on the weekeds to Park End / Oceans and Collins etc have enough trouble getting in themselves. They are of course a few places where getting served is easy so if a group of underage people want to go out in there own group with someone who knows the spots (Tom_ ) then at least it won't be a complete waste of time. What time dyu mean as 'late' ive gotten into fabric before at like 1ish without Id and without paying. Its usually easiest to get in around 7 if the clubs are open then, or around 1. I've done it a handfull of times, because you don't have to pay to get in HAPPY DAYS I don't know what its like in other places, but I've always been Id'ed, except when i was with Mahers Mum, but sometimes they really dont read it, and sometimes its taken 3 bouncers a UV light, and a scanner for them to decided i was who i am... a bit like searches... before ive been made to take my top off, take all the stuff out my pockets, metal scanned... when sometimes you just walk right in through... it just massivly depends Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I don't even look 21 either So if you quite close to being 18 you might be able to get away with your real id if you keep to the back of the queue. They don't just check your age, they check your name to make sure you're not on the pubwatch list or banned from attending matches. But anyway, its a bit of a risk if you're taking him. I've been out with a bunch of underage people before, and its f**king annoying that you have to go to all the wank shithole pubs because they're not old enough to get in anywhere decent. I remember one night we had to spend 6 hours in the same pub because of one person; and they didn't exactly feel comfortable about it. Usually its just easier to accept you're underage. Not to mention with the current mass-crackdown on underage drinking, all pubs have been reminded to ask anyone that looks under 21 for ID. I get into pubs in oxford, but only the regular underage ones aha But mayby just the older ones go, probably be more fun for them, you know?
