The Duck
Had a few echo headsets, which have all been good, had no troubles. Bearings are replaceable at little cost/effort too.Had a couple of hope ones, again, no problems at all. Using an internal one in my 'Zonys at the moment which is, well what can I say - its a headset, nice.Edit: I quoted the topic starter by accident... Hate it when people do that. cai
Get either a meta or a deng.Metas are one of the lightest trials headsets around, and are like £29And the Deng ones are good quality, and come in pretty colours - and are £25-£40, depending on which colour. Echo-Scott
My echo one has been going a good 2 years now and it's just as good as the day I bought it. As for the £9 Cane Creek one off tarty, I would say don't go for that one, mate had one and it litrally(sp?) only lasted 2 weeks.

Only £22 as well!!!Id go for one of them (i have one spare if you want that)I'd agree with that! I've had 2, not because one broke, but because I bought a new bike which came with one fitted, and it's one of the best £22 I've ever spent on my bike. NVWOCI WVS
I'd say a 2nd hand king headset or a new hope one. owned both and they perform really well, especialyl compared to cheaper headset, such as the FSA pig pro (which is shit). Skoze
I bought a new king off zhi the other week for the grand total of £60It's actually amazing! So smooth too acompared to my previous echo, which was fine The tensiles seem a very good buy for about that price, so i'd highly reccommend either

basher
Think il have a go at a deng headset along with some new deng forks thanks for all the help and info Dave xWhy would you want to get a deng headset? lets think about it. Its pritty well known that deng has a habbit of rushing products out and the design not being amazing especially with the moving part parts ie the freewheels and freehubs being shite and denguras having problems aswsell. He doesnt put huge amounts of money into research such as tensile and hope and other companies and most of the time uses standard cheapish bearings. Other than deng sponsored riders have you ever seen a high class rider such as ali c use a deng headset, riders that would never use a inferier product as sponsors pay up for the expensive parts. If you want a headset that looks pritty then fair enough if not then get the latest hope headset or tensile one as they should last ages, or an fsa one.
