bikingpetay
to be honest, im actually wanting to be unique and run a trials set up on my fr/dh bike.what do you think of this:a 18,16,14 and 12 tooth cassette, with 1 spacer, on a hope trials hub.with the onza mech

With a trials setup, you don't go fast. If you mean running a trials-range cassette with a bigger sprocket up front, it'd still be pointless just because it won't cover much range. If you mean running a full 22t or 20t sprocket up front and that cassette, just don't bother...
Alex Dark
thats just pointless........just run either a standard dh setup or go full trialsy with a 22t up front and gears on the back ( or even ss )
azif
Thats just madness mate i love downhill freeride and trials. And i would never try useing a trials setup on a dh rig.Id just keep your dh for dh and get a trials bike fpr trials you know it make sence
