Converting Profile To Disc

Tango

Recommended Posts

Was brousing the web and came across this profile hub for a mtb which is disc compatible so I was wondering if the hub shell's are the same length and the ones used on 116 spacing frames. This is because I am looking at going rear disc and would like to keep a freehub on the back.

MTB profile disc hub

Thanks keith.

The one you linked to certainly wouldn't be compatible, but the 6 speed cassette version might if you're lucky. I'm sure this question came up a while ago - use the search? Or failing that, maybe try ringing the importer?

You can get a mod spaced hub with a stock spaced shell, then you have the trouble of getting the disc to line up with the mounts on the frame.

Also, email profile and tell them you think a mod spaced profile disc free hub is a good idea. The more emails they get the more likely they're to make it. :P
