eskimo
I'd go with a Echo Rear Fixed on a Try-All or DX32. That's what i'm running at the moment. With a Monty tyre.Front wise i'm running a Pro2 Disk on a Monty Champaigne with Monty tyre. I think the Try-All tyre is lighter, but i will be buying one for the grip anyway. It does all depend on how much strength you want. The DOB rims are now getting alot of negative feedback as well so probably not the best choice. Try and use alloy nipples for both wheels and double butted spokes for the front. (they're not available for rear yet), unless your on 36h 4 cross. You won't be able to knock much weight off the rear i'm affraid due to the massive tyre we run, but the front wheel is defiently worth some research. Danny Kearns
To be honest, Echo 07 rims probably are heavier than Onza rims. Edited May 7, 2008 by Danny Kearns
eskimo
Apparently the Echo Rear is heavier. Only by 10 to 20 grams though.Them white spokes aren't double butted either. I'd be suprised if they were.Neon coloured nipples suck. Get some Prolite ones. They're like a fiver for 100.And you should buy a Echo hub instead on that Viz. Once you've bought sprocket and snail cams it doesn't work out much cheaper. The Echo is lighter and more bearings. Also a splined cog instead of an annoying screw on one. Alex-Mitchinson
Them wheels are really heavy.Ideally you want try-all hubs, front dob rim and monty on the back. Try-all hubs are really expensive though, however you can get neon hubs for like half the price and theyre only a bit heavier.
Muel
Or Monty TI hubs, which are pretty light and work well. The Try-All H hubs are the lightest and look good, can't comment on the stregnth yet though as I have never heard of any breaking.

Maximus
compared to onza rims.Onza have 50g + added to them, because they are eyeleted, which help create a stronger wheel build, to quote tarty, "Eyeleted spoke seats allows for higher spoke tensions and thus a significantly stronger wheel when compared to competitor's un-eyeleted rims" other than that there quite light when you think about it, even with this they are still lighter that the echo rims your saying, yeah Edited May 8, 2008 by Maximus
Ben H!
perhaps a good rim choice would be try all on the front and echo on the back, i use try all on front and rear and they seem fine
bart
Get a try-all bmx front rim same colors as the trial stuff a bit narrow but 350 gr. and it s cheaper than the trial rimrear just get a driled DX 32 and a quando or echo hub.
