spaceman
Would a Tioga DH rim work with the hs33? I'm aware that it's designed for disc only. I heard that it would work if you grind it.But my question is, would it work if I don't grind the rim? Anyone using it with a hs33?
basher
It no usually the surface finish thats the problem with disk only rims its the profile of the rim, as there is no brakeing surface as the wall is usually at an angles. Not sure what the profile is like on a tioga, but if its like mavics then no you cant.
Luke Rainbird
I had those rims on my 24", and ran a set of Zoo! pads (original compound) with a water bled maggie, and it was intense Should be fine I would imagine - I didn't bother to grind/remove the coated layer, just let the brake wear through it slowly! Alex Dark
i reckon you'd be fine...it looks to be the same profile as a bmf or dx-
