baladi Posted May 12, 2008 Report Share Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) Very nice looking bike, but i'm abit worried about the wholes you drilled in the steerer tube, on the fork.ive made a little test (urban 07, 26" geometry, 6061, 100N) that shows that the upper whole got 50%off the resistance of the fork.(I'm a rookie in COSMOS, and the results are only for comparision between the not drilled fork and the drilled one. took independently, the tests are not accurate).Un Drilled Fork:Drilled fork. you cand see maximum stress area (RED) in the upper hole.-50% Edited May 12, 2008 by baladi Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
