banananana
Use a bit of loctite and tighten them as much as possible.
NileBrown™
Well your obviously not tightening them up correctly, the cones have two nuts which should tight up against each other. So tighten your cones up to where you want it then tighten the other nut against it to prevent it from coming loose. eskimo
Sorted yet??I'll explain a little more. Each side has 2 nuts on. One being the cone and the other the locking nut. The cones need to tighten up into the bearings enough so the wheel doesn't move about, but only rolls smoothly on the bearings. Therefore this should be hand tight. Then you need a cone spanner. At about £4 they're not expensive. Use that cone spanner (on the cone) and another spanner on the lock nut then tighten together. Now the other side. Try and keep the cone tightened enough against them bearings before you lock the cone nut up against the lock nut. If the bearings feel unsmooth, add some more grease for quick releaf on the bearings or take the bearings out and clean them all then add some fresh grease. Callum-Luvs-Trials
Ask Muel, He knows away of doing a non-sealed hub so it runs smooth and so the cones don't come loose.

Chandler
sorry about the stupid question in advance.........I dont have grips for tightening up cones. They are just circles...Im running sealed hubs, does that mean I dont need to tighten them up?Or does it mean I have to take them apart to actually tighten up the cones.could someone explain please
