To run any kind of freewheel on a fixed hub it needs to be threaded to accept one, and then you're kinda limited to what gearing you can run. eskimo Posted May 1, 2008 Report Share Posted May 1, 2008 (edited) The Deng fixed hubs only take the Echo Splined cogs. If you had (let's say) a Viz Fixed hub then yeah you could run a 16t freewheel and above.[edit] best point out if you were going to get a new hub, build the wheel first otherwise you might find it impossible to lace the rim with the freewheel on.
