Cookyboy
Thought was good quality and all that with some interesting angles but found it a bit slow and boring to be honest
monkeyseemonkeydo
Why the weird 9x16 aspect ratio? Last time I looked neither my computer or TV can be stood on their end and made to display video's in that format. Haven't tried though so could be wrong.Kind of agree with Cookyboy though. Matthew62
The quality and imagery was lovely, and in that sense it was an enjoyable video. Riding wise it was massively dull. If you could mixe those types of scenes and landscapes with a but more excitment from the riding it would be amazing. As it is i found it on the hole boring to be honest. manuel
I actually quite liked it .... dont really understand why the file was so huge ? as the resolution of my wierd shaped video box wasnt that high ?
kid creole
the guy at the start thats spinning hes cranks back, part of hes chain is upside down. I like the vid and the riding was quite good.
1a2bcio8
Have you ever done lsd?Anyway, I liked it. Experimental stuff is always appreciated especially if it gravitates toward psychedelic-esque appearance. Sometime I found the colours overly saturated and not so enjoyable but mostly, it was very pretty. The slow mo riding really showed aspects that are otherwised missed.Good stuff
Rich Hill
I quite like it..yer the riding isnt massivly impressive, but its something fresh and different to all the 'usuall' trials videos around. It chilled me out a hell of alot and thats the kinda video i personally enjoy watching

The imagery was so far removed from pschedelia, in fact they were completely grounded in cold, hard reality. I'm just interested in how you saw it as psychedelic? Christophe'
If anyone else hasnt noticed, the image quailty is stunning.(there is very little compression)if it were in normal 16:9 the file would be very much larger.i think its cool! props to the maker

Greetings
Would prefer if it were in 16:9. Quality and colours were outstanding.

I'm just interested in how you saw it as psychedelic?Perhaps I did lsd.According to my experience, and what constitutes for me as being psychedelic, that was psychedelic.Perhaps you need to do some lsd.I did just go back to check though to make sure I'm not being sketchy - within 10 seconds there's a waving colour effect - that to me is psychedelic. There's also plenty of effects to the sky adding a purple tinge I think and also a reduced frame rate shot. Perhaps more stuff further on.All stuff reminscent of my psychedelic drug taking experiences
Al_Fel
I started watching it but nothing seemed to be going on so I couldn't be arsed, skipped ahead and it looked the same so I stopped watching.

Perhaps my impression of psychedelia is a bit different to yours. I see psychedelia of being of a time, with hand rendered images that were out of this world - digital don't cut it when it comes to psychedelia - they should not exist as a pair. It is far to clean, psychedelia should not be perfect and crisp - it defies what it oringally was. You must of had some damn watered down LSD if purple waves was a far out as it gets.....jeez, its always funny when people get protective of their drug taking, very well done to you! You must of had some damn watered down LSD if purple waves was a far out as it gets.....jeez, its always funny when people get protective of their drug taking, very well done to you!I'm not sure that I was being protective of my drug taking? If anything, I'm being protective of my idea of psychedelia. Sometimes I like to mention drugs (often as poorly executed humour), when relevant but especially because I'm apprehensive of doing so given that we live in a society that shuns something it typically does not understand. I want to be able to mention that thing that I do in the same way that we talk about riding bikes and not be afraid to do so.But yeh, I would say that we have a different conception of what amounts to psychedelia. To me it's simply something that relates to the experience of psychedelic drugs. The type of experience that arises from lsd and such are all very varied depending on the person. Obviously though a type of experience was typified in the 60's and 70's, to which I'll assume is your conception. My types of experience were very similar to that contained within aspects of the video though. Edited April 24, 2008 by rowly

1a2bcio8
Learys dead now man, move onYou can still buy his books though! Not that doing psychedelics has to have any consideration of the man. Lsd is a thing within itself.Sorry to take the thread off on a tangent though.
Will Arnold
the topic seems to have wondered, so i'll bring it back into line.paul has done a great job putting these video's together, great work!as for people saying they've not got much action in, alot of the shots are framed for capturing all of the elements that make up trials rather than putting particular emphasis on the size of the moves, like you see in almost all other trials vids nowdays.im very happy to be involved in these vids

My particular comments of the riding being dull was not a comment on the size of riding. That element of trials has never interested me, whether you get up a 2 foot wall or a 6 foot one, its the way in which you do it that i enjoy. Regardless of the size of the riding shown in the video i still found it dull. If they had done exaclty the same moves only much larger i still would have found it dull. The inventiveness within riding is what i look for, and in a video that was visually stunning ,i found the riding to not be of an equal caliber. I don't think there was emphasis on all elements of trials, thats why i think the riding side let the video down. Size don't matter shit. I appreciate what wa sbeing attempted, but mixed with riding to match the scenery, it would have been phenomenal.
Jonny Jones
Great quality! Nice to see DVCPro HD in use, not really seen much of it to be honest. In future please just use 16:9. I know its just to fit your website layout, but I just find it a bit frustrating.
