jimseyd
I have '04 magura levers and brakes and i was wondering is there any quicker way to adjust for wear than moving the entire pad. I know the current hs33 lever blades have adjust knob, but is that compatible with mine?
Luke Rainbird
Erm, the TPA?Same as on the new ones, except it's different Should be a red knob on the end of the lever, though if the brake is second hand it may have been bodged as TPAs tend to die apparently. As seen here:
Dan x)
my tpa had died but.. if your asking if the new Tpa will fit you 04 maggie.then no, you cant fit the new tpa on the old magies, if it is broken either buy a new tpa kit or a new lever Dan. forteh
You can repair the tpa at home, search the wiki, theres an article in there on it

Dan6061
http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/How_to_fix_a_broken_TPA I bodged mine differently.. no silly looking bolt sticking out! So you can still use the red adjuster. When you take the lever blade apart, you should have the remains on the 'fork' shaped part of the TPA, then the square looking nut with part of the bolt in.Take that thread out, and throw that away with the 'fork' bit.Get a small M5 (Magura bolt size) bolt, and cut across the head of the bolt, so the metal plate (other part of the TPA) can slot into it.Once you've done that, just put it all back together. And you won't even tell it was broken!Hopefully that'll make sense as you do it, otherwise just ask in here.
