Motorbike Tax (grrr!)

No not a way around motorbike tax in general, as its bloody cheap so I don't care.

But I've booked my CBT for Saturday, using my own bike.

I've done my insurance (actual cover starts Saturday, documents should arrive in the post sometime this week)

But I apparently cannot get my tax done until the cover has actually started, so that means getting it all done on the same day as the CBT (which seems quite a hassle).

Does anyone know a way around this?

Get the tax on the day? which is piss easy? Or if you have the reminder slip you might be able to tax it. Add me to msn cos there might be another way around it, bit hard to explain on tf. sheehanistheman AT hotmail DOT co DOT uk :)

they say that, but it lasts about 20 mins.

yea, but generally you dont get out on the road for about 2-3 hours with your cbt, you get your little talk, taken to somewhere off road(however if its a car park, as opposed to privately owned like the cattle market we did ours on, you may still need tax). do your basic riding, figure of 8, practice turning in a mock road, you then go back, we then had dinner, before having another little talk about what was going to happen that afternoon, and then setting off on the road bit of my cbt.

There will Be time if your mother goes to get it for you.

When I did Mine (November 07) We met at 9am, was a quick breif, thoery for about 30 mins, then Sight test, then Explanation of the bike and how it works.

You wont ride a bike until about 10.30, and you wont go on the road until after lunch at about 1pm. You dont need tax to ride on private property so your fine.
