I bought some rimjams off ebay but as i was riding my bike, the rubber came off the plastic baking which holds it in, i was just wandering if anyone has ever had this problem before and if it can be prevented!

Thanks Amelia x

Boil the pads in water to get the compound out of the backings completly.

Use search to learn how to do this.

The glue the compound back into the backing using a strong glue.

I would recomend using loctite super glue.

Buy some necopads, I hear they're good. And maybe they won't break.

Big no no.

Dont buy "homemade" pads.

I know there cheap but your beteer off buying from proper supplier like tartybikes or trials-uk.

And mine started to peal themselve out of the backings, Made all the pads go dodgy shape then.

And why is that might i ask? Is it because you can contact them and let them know theres been a problem with it and get a new pair sent out? Because that would have been the case if you had said something, instead of not telling us, then proceeding to slate our products and company on a message board.

Callum, there's nothing wrong with Neco pads. I use them, Danny Kearns uses them, and a whole host of people that have had no trouble at all.

Stop slating them on an open forum. If you'd contacted Kris I'm sure he would have told you how to sort it out, but seeing as you've just badmouthed his company despite most pairs being fine, I think he should duely tell you to FO.

I did really see the point of contacting you about them, What would you off done?

You can stand there and say I used them on a harsh grind but my rim cant even take a harsh grind.

And the grind goes dead in a week.

Like I said in another post.

Neco pads are the best pads i have ever used.

Great hold and bite and amazing noise.

Gave me loads of confidence.

It was just the wear life.

if you got that sorted i would buy them agian deffo.

Ok then daniel, Thats why it has gone dead already.

My rim cant even take a Harsh grind so Dont come on here talking shit.

The pads are specifically designed for LIGHT grinds if were discussing the yellows. You can stick a harsh grind on all you want, fair enough you braking performence will be amazing but the wear life will be terriable, You do they same with Plaz Crm's, you'll find the same result.

If your using a Try-all rim, they don't hold grinds very well anyways, so a harsh grind on a Try-all rim would only last about a week.

Any problem Email NecoPads. Kris will help you out if there's a problem.

I only had my necos for on lil'bit over a wwek.

On a dead grind they lost alot of life.

Sounds like a faulty pair. I'll speak to either Kris or Boumsong for you and see what i can get sorted out, Do you still have your set of Neco's, if you could send them back we can see how much life has been lost in the time that you have had them.

Something isn't right, The yellows should be fine on a dead grind :S.

Hmmm, I'll see what can be done. :)

You can put a harsh grind on ANY rim, it might not last long (because the aluminium is a softer grade) but that is the same with any grind on a soft rim. The grind on my rear tryall goes dull pretty quickly, especially with hard pads - currently testing now with heatsink reds.

I ran some rimjam greens on a fresh medium grind and they were half worn in 4 hours, I just put it down to bad compound as it had happened in isolated cases - never got the replacement set of pads to try as promised by chris - no matter though, its not like theyre expensive :D

Oh and I bought them from tarty, under tartys recommendation for pads on a grind ;)

Well the pads started coming out from the backing at one end so it made them go wonky and made one side wear down to metal.

It's ok Danny I Dont really mind it.
