eskimo
The major downside I found to DXs was just their random pin size. That's the reason i like them so much as well. I find the skinier pins grip better. Also the layout of the pins is pretty much spot on, it's good not having loads of pins in the centre. They're also kinder to the shins that most other pedals due to the shortness of the pins, plus the concaved design. Jamie_Neal
If you want indestructable pins try either of these pedals. I had one pin pull out of the Club Roost ones and thats it.The only problem is trying to get replacement pins (not because they fall out but because they wear down after about a year to a year and a half).Well worth the money and the bearings on both are good - I haven't had any problems.http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=2234http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=19409
Rusevelt
Im sure they'll hold up to trials abuse considering NS recommended the platform pedal design for their dirt jump/street rigs. though if you want the ultimate flat/platform pedal, try searching for german brand RESET titanium pedals (featured in Dirt mag issue 69). they are the sexiest flat pedals ive seen to date, i just cant seem to find them through a uk/european distributor. then again at 400 euros, i doubt anyone would pay that kind of money for them...but that was last year. damon
I`ve been using pancakes some time ago. Just a regular pedals, same shit as most of similiar priced ones. Without any hardcore riding bearings cracked some day. No reccomendation from my side.
Demiourgos
Don't buy Peancakes... they are rubbish! If you want NS pedals go for Leg Eaters , they are undestructable. Had Peancakes for nearly 3 season, and they were really bad. Many of my friends had them, they are popular in Poland because they are relatively cheap and thats all. They have nasty bearings and they are loosing wery often.

2sixstreet
Cheers for all the replies and suggestions. For now i'm going to drill and tap the V8's out to M5 and screw bigger pins in, making them deeper and sit a bit more flush. If that doesnt slow the ripping out rate i'll look again at alternatives.
