Mat Smith!
the pads wont fall out...unless the pdas extend farther than the prongs on the slaves...which would require insane over bleeding to achieveah right, thats what i was thinking he wanted, maybe i just dont get it lol.i thought it was tpa, but without the tpa, or is it? just not as extreme.Matx

Mark W
I doubt the piston length would actually allow you to get the pads past the prongs. I remember with mine they didn't let you do it anyway. To be fair, if you had to overbleed and use full TPA to that extent to get your brake rideable, you'd be f**ked 'cos it'd feel like shit anyway (and be a b*****d to set up 'cos of how the TPA affects it), but your rim would have to be like a roadie blade rim or something... rudirudirudirudirudi
i dont no if anyone has put this yet... but i wind the tpa on untill the pads move as soon as i touch the lever. undo the bleed bolt on the lever, put syringe and tube on. put pressure on the syringe and wind the tpa out. ( torwards the minus) this draws the piston back and at the same time you are filling it up with water. ( the air escapes past the bleed tube) when the tpa is all the way out take off bleed tube. insert grub screw... hey presto! if you want to overbleed then just push harder on the syringe.. sorted. courtesy of prawny. Simpson
Shame to all those suggesting baths, buckets and pumping the levers whilst underwater. Double shame to the top up the lever idea (air is bad inside your brake )Are you dizzin? It works well... i do it...
Ashley-Wood
Bath bleed!! they always work to good that you have to let water out. just do the same as you do aboe water but just do the wole technique under waterthe whole time untill you finish. this makes sure that no air can get in.
