choody
HiI'm riding street-trials on 24" (foto) wheels and i'm goin' to change handlebar and stem. Now i have:Bar - Easton EA50 Mid-RiseStem - Amoeba Scud Trial 130mm/40º.On this setup is realy hard to make barspin or xup (and it looks gay). So i decide to change it.I decide to buy stem like thath: 90mm/100mm - 10º/15º.But i have big problem with bar i should buy. Which bar has the best opinion in UK?I'm wondering about: Azonic B-52, Tioga (Taskforce, 286), NS (BadMama, X-UP), FUNN Fat Boy Slim, Easton (some hi-rise). Or something else?I used search but didint find anything with full answers.
grant wildman
yeah 90mm - 100mm is spot on for most 24inch wheel bikes and around a 2inch-2.5inch rise bars most people use somthing along the lines of an azonic double wall (crc have them on sale at the moment ).the same set up im using on my inspired.interesting looking bike you have , what frmae is that ?new bars and stem will make your bike ride sooo much nicer!!hope that helps mategrant
smelly joe
im running 90mm truvativ team XC stem on my leeson on the moment, has been on there 2 years now and theres no sign off it failing!! dont be put off by the fact it is only a one bolt stem!and as for bars, i would recomend azonic single wall world force bars with about a 2" rise if possible.to be honest, its all down to rider preference, you have to experiment and see's what works best for yourself, ive found thats th best combo for me, but mine is the second longest Leeson clive has ever bulit. choody
prowler in the yard:This is my own project. You can see details here http://www.choody.com/frame.Ps. What stem do you use?smelly joe:I know it depends from rider preferences, but i don't know any guy in pl who is riding 24". So i can't try other set ups. Also i dont want to buy 3 bars and 5 stems to see what is the best for me. Ps. What is angle of your stem? It's almoust immposible to buy azonic bars in poland, and shipping from CRC cost me same as bar
