My ribos are getting a bit more like a sandle now. So what should i buy?

I prefer the 'proper' trials shoes as opposed to any old trainer or skate shoe. I had the try-all shoes a few years back and they were ok but they didn't seem to last very long and not really very stiff, then i bought the silver ribos and they were quite uncomfortable, and not very good to walk about it at all, but really good to ride in.

I would have bought the black ribos that're one tartybikes but they arn't in my sise (10) so it'd have to be the £80 ones which are a bit pricey when you can get the better looking tridents at just over £60.

So...

What's a girl to do?

Tridents for sure, the sole seems to be holding up a lot better than my ribo's have, I still have a pair of ribo's as well, but never wear them as the tridents are more comfortable and as you say i think they look better :) +you'll save yourself some money

the northwave shoes on trials-uk have a similar sole to the ribo's

And are still arse ugly as are all trials shoes. If somebody made some half-decent trials shoes which you wouldn't be too embarrassed to go into a shop to buy a drink, or something, wearing - I think loads of people would buy them.

I just can't bring myself to buy any because they are so unbearabley gay looking.

Your riding about on a bike that has a low seat or no saddle at all, making it look like a kids bike? and your worried about the style of your shoes.....haha......

Call me vein, but I don't want to add insult to injury. Don't think my bike looks that bad anyway...

Surprised that no one has mentioned fit. I have experience of all three shoes makes in the poll. Try All are fine if you have broad feet, if not your feet will roll in them.

Ribo are a little undersized making mail order difficult.

Trident have proved to be a good fitting shoe.

The comments above about wear rates is pretty spot on, as Sam said, he lives in his shoes and they are holding together well.

I think i'll go with trident. For the £25 extra i'm not gonna get the ribos when they seem to be pretty mucht he same thing. Don't like the new look of the ribos anyway, thanks all!

just a question :

The people that ride only street do you wear more vans type shoes or proper trials?

The people thats ride comps and natural what do you wear more proper trials shoes or vans type?

Got the feeling shoes caters for the terrain and style of ridding

me i go for practibility and go for trials shoes so i have less chance to hurt my shins again
