Radfax
well i am not to sure how i should have titled this thread as i am unsure what the correct term for what i want is but meh here goes! I have a hope mini mono, Recently its performance has drasticaly started to fall. I thought it was the pads so i wacked a new set in which doesnt seemed to haev do ne much.I have not toutched the brake other than fitting it to my bike and replacing the pads, i will not bleed hydrolic disc brakes as the last time i did it just ended in a horid mess! So i would like to ask, Would it be possible to send to hope for a service? I recall hearing that some one had done it before but i am not to sure how they went about it or if i would be able to qualify for any sort of service. I know it sounds damn stupid "will hope service my brake for free?" BUT I know that they used to do some thing like this, but not to sure why they did it or what, to be honest i really dont have a clue! Would anybody be able to tell me if they do this and if it is still avaloble and if so how do i go about it?

Christophe'
hope open system brakes are realy the easiest to bleed in the world, it will take 5 minutes.
Radfax
ok thanks for the replies. i know they did some sort of support once you have bought the product but wasnt to sure! i will not trust the local bike shop with anything and thier prices are also stupidly exspensive. Does anyone have a link to a how to of hope brake bleeding?
Flubber
have you giving your disc a good wash and rub, improved my braking straight away dude

Andeee
What year is the brake? Normally speaking hope brakes do tend to come with a manufacturers warranty depending of where you purchased it from i doubt hope could do a free service it could be anything could be the seals, pistons etc.. or ote. Send it to tartybikes im sure adam could re drain the system clean it and re-bleed it. But tartybikes charge i think about £10 for a disc brake bleed seals dont cost that much but overall depends until a proffessional looks at it. Radfax
thanks for that andee, the brake was bought in late 2006 and has been ace untill the last month or so. i will have a gander through Tarty's now see what they can do if giving it a good scrub doesnt do it any good!
