1a2bcio8
Hello,I recently bought myself a HD camera and am having trouble getting anything I've made down to a sensible size. I use adobe premiere and have been trying to export my edit as an .avi. The consequence of this is my film is squashed along the horizontal, presumably into the standard ration rather than 16:9. I export at 1440 * 1080 and use the HD settings. Could anybody, who uses HDV 1080i, describe to me the route they take in getting it from premiere to whatever compression/conversion software they use, if they use. I've been tearing out the proverbial hair of my head attempting to sort this. Thanks in advance.Ben Edited April 12, 2008 by rowly
Greetings
You need to change the pixel aspect ratio from HD anamorphic (1.333) to square pixels.Besides, there's no point using 1080. There are very few (if any) consumer HD cameras which can actually capture more than 700 lines.Just use 1280x720 and 50 fps and you'll get the same quality and very smooth motion.Recommend using the WMV format in the Adobe Media Encoder. 30megs/minute of very high quality video and audio for 720P50If you're smart you can use H.264 but that's way more complicated and you'll have to ask JJ to help you out.KIKI720P50.VPRCan't do a direct link to the file else it'll display in text form. Download it, and load it into Adobe Media Encoder.edit: forgot to add that when you use 1.0 pixels, you'll need to change the resolution to 1920x1080.
