Ben John-Hynes
Ahhh yes that would work. Are you sure it's leaking where the hose joins,Not a crack or leak from the actual piston?

Muel
Bleed it with water and squeeze, see if anything happens. It is bled with water. Checked all the fittings are tight? Incuding bleed bolts? What lever is it? You can rebuild the maggy levers, so you will be able to check if the seal has been damaged.

NVWOCI WVS
mineral oil will cause the ptfe tape to disintergrate, only use ptfe with a water bleed
Krisboats
Use 30 second drying araldite to seal any leaking hoses, just coat the fitting in araldite and it'll dry as a leak proof block.
JaMmY
Pressure test itstick the two pistons in a vice so that the pads are against each other as if your setting them up on your wheel but just without the wheel and make sure the pads are touching. Then just pull the lever quite hard and see if there is any leeks.Cheers jammy Edited April 13, 2008 by JaMmY
