Jake Kench Posted April 12, 2008 Report Share Posted April 12, 2008 hey Rite i was just wonderin wat everyone thinks is the best fluid 2 put into hydrolics, cus i hav always just used dot 4 brake oil, but i got told that it rots the seals on ur brakes. dont no wether this is true but somebody told me 2 put mineral oil in insed. he also said u can baicly put anything into then. Muel Posted April 12, 2008 Report Share Posted April 12, 2008 For Magura and shimano disc brakes, mineral oil.For Hope disc brakes, Dot 5.1/Dot4.For Magura Rim brakes, water/Mineral oil.For Deng rim brakes, mineral oil, as apparantly when bled with water, it developes leakage really quickly.
