basher
Wouldnt it be better to get your wheel sorted rather than change your brake first. If your having to have the wheel so its sits on the edge of the dropout then why not just shorten the chain or if its to tight then buy a new chain as yours will proberly be stretched alot. Haz
Loosen the cable, tighten the spring, move the spacers on the pads inward, succeed?
Muel
Dudes, just go measure your brake arms...Maybe worth ringing Tarty and asking Ali, he's run pretty much every V going I think.
boiiing
Why not just put some spacers underneath your 4 bolt adapters. Should raise it up a bit and give more clearance
Jay-Inspired
Loosen the cable, tighten the spring, move the spacers on the pads inward, succeed?its not the width of the tire its rubbing on its the height of the tire its rubbing on the actual cable as it runs over the top of the tire to the other brake arm Why not just put some spacers underneath your 4 bolt adapters. Should raise it up a bit and give more clearance i dont have 4 bolt adapters its straight up vbrake mounts on my frame ALL I WANT IS FOR SOME BRAKE ARM SIZES !!! Jay-Inspired
ultimates are too short iv already tryed them out by looking around im guessing shimano v-brakes even though everyone slates them there pretty longIMO the SD5 i have atm holds just aswell as my friends ultimates when set up nice which is 99% of the time i just need some long brake arms even if there sh*t i can make them work well

eskimo
its not the width of the tire its rubbing on its the height of the tire its rubbing on the actual cable as it runs over the top of the tire to the other brake armHe meant that when the arms are closer to the wheel the arms will stand taller. Get me/ him??My SD5 was really close as well. I just taped my noodle to the frame so the cable was lifted above the tyre slightly. It would then rub when i braked. Worked alright for a bodge. How about bodging some sort of roller. It'll work if it's only a slight rub. Use a few of them rubber noodle boots to act a roller on the tyre. Well it'll do for now anyway.

Zordon
Sorry dude but I think long arms can be found only in cheapish vees Like these (110mm) - http://www.nb-saima.com/v-brakeen.htmor these (120mm) - http://www.cycle.net.cn/index.cgi?job=pros...id=p4mtidxxcnuvLow price can mean crap material. Put it together with longer arms and you get unbearable amount of flex.

Zordon
You may also try different brake noodles. Some have a shape that raises the cable a bit.
