Scotty Evil1
Absolutely gutted. Bottom bracket still hasnt arrived, if it doesnt arrive soon im a definate no no for this comp......dissappointed Spoke to soon Mr Uci Elite champion! The competition its self was good, red was a tad easy ( i use that term lightly) compared to how hard elite was,big jump between them,so glad im still a junior! I was a bit disapointed to see there wernt any numbers for the riders or bikes (which i think the uci states you must have doesnt it??) and also that there was NO st johns there !! Considering how hard / dangerous the elite sections were, i think it was a bit of poor judgment. Heard andrei got cleaned up fast though, which is good Shame it was wet, but the sections were still fun to ride.We need more junior riders!Roll on tomorrowScott Edited April 19, 2008 by Scotty Evil1

Jonny Jones
Yeah like Joe said does anybody have a postcode for Hook Woods or the Epsom Road area at the base of Hook Woods?
AdamR28
I know this isn't perfect... but I often try putting the road name and county into Google - more often than not some random business address pops up with a postcode on it... then just bash it in Google maps to check! http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&s...earch&meta=Edit: Also found this: http://www.surreysb.co.uk/venues/hook-woods.htm
Bionic Balls
be careful with hook woods postcodes...last time we ended up outside Jim Connor's house and it took us ages to work out how to get round and into the actual carpark there's some directions on the entry forms...get the co-driver to dictate. Jonny Jones
I know roughly how to get there, its mostly just so I can tap it all into the satnav, im so lazy since i got the thing haha! Cheers Adam!

Phatmike
Just got back - was a cracking weekend. Definately think we got lucky with the weather - woke up to pouring rain Saturday, but after 9am it didn't rain once, so although a little wet and muddy, we didn't get wet - which was nice! Today was beautiful though, started out a bit grey, but had blue skies all afternoon. Really enjoyed both days, the UCI was a good fun, and definitely a welcome addition to the British scene, and the comp today was thoroughly enjoyable. As always, thanks to everyone who made it possible, and also to everyone who took part. Mike. (Red 26" Winner. )
walker
Well done mike, you had a great ride! I had a really enjoyable weekend, two great competitions, hats off to the Barbara and Fred and everyone else involved in the organisation. Thanks to the observers, would be better if we could get more, that would make these events even better! But overall a top comp, really enjoyed the venue and the weather was much better than expected all weekend! Thanks to Wayne for the transport getting there and to all the riders who made the journey to make the event what it was! Thanks to Mr Stedman for entertaining us with his insane rolldowns and the eventual crash and his Pashley CamelGHz that resulted!!Andrew Edited April 21, 2008 by walker
joe b
Well, well... I reckon that was a really good weekend. Apart from it being a bit miserable on Saturday and me riding like a bit of a plonker, it was mint .Really pulled me finger out my arse in todays comp, though, to win in Junior Red 20" which was good.I felt it was all really well organised and the sections were challenging (especially on Saturday) but also not too dangerous which is a good way to seperate out all the riders... So, a big thankyou to all the organisers and officials and, also, to Wayne for the lift down.Cheers,Joe.INIT BLUDDD Edited April 20, 2008 by joe b
Nick G
Good weekend of competitions i thought, even though i was knackered on the second day and getting two pinches didn't help either. I thought the sections were spot on in elite on the saturday. Much prefer 3 laps of 6 too. I found 2 mins 30 much more enjoyable for sections and generally think the UCI rules are better.Nick Edited April 20, 2008 by Nick G
PaRtZ
Was fun weekendSections were muddy which wasn't my cup of tea, especially starting with a WANK brake. And camping overnight took it out of me too with dave making a move for my arse every 20 minutes.... geez....But yeah good fun and such a mint place to ride, unbelievable to be honest. Nice oneMatt (Red, 20" absolute Loser)
TheChai
was an awesome weekend! i really dont like the age rule of UCI, for that same reason i couldnt really compare how well i did considering uci dabs and biu dabs.. becos the uci course i rode was so much harder lol i still managed 3rd place though! with a score of 79.. where as i got 5th place in the BIU round with a score of 23.. there were more riders on sunday i suppose..many thanks to dan angel for driving me and tim up there, and i think we might be coming up again in the short future along with tall rob, so if anyone wants to join us. feel free!must say though.. i think i have improved so much since koxx days :D all that wiskey has turned into energy!! whaha
robster
Great weekend.long drive I am knackered now.Rob faired well now he has moved up and age so well done to him. Finished on 15I had a great day on Sunday in the old farts class, it was a close run thing but I managed to pip my nemissis Niel the "Rave" Raven to first place with an awesome 2 on Mrs Sherridens section and a unbelivable 1 on Freds section. I finished on my old fave of 69 and I am stoked with that, just couldn,t find the nadds to pull off the gap on Joe Olivers section sorry crowd for that :$ Well done to all who made the trip I think every body seemed to have a great day and thank god the rain stayed off all day. Thanks Fred Mick and Barbara your hard work was well worth it.John(1st old git)
Tim Stedman
Hi all.Only rode the sunday, but well worth the 6 A.M. start to make it. Excellent sections, despite the mud! Shame there wasnt the observers for the full 10 sections. Congrats to all the winners, some awesome rides happening on some pretty tough sections! Can't wait for the blackpool round, with a non-camel long Pashley GHz...See you all at the next one!Tim Stedman. Jamie_Neal
Awesome weekend and I hope I entertained with some badly misjudged riding which eventually meant I had to retire on Sunday.Fortunately I'm feeling a bit less bruised today and can still move.Congrats to all who rode better than I did and comiserations to Matt.A big thanks to Tim for his entertainment value at the end of the day - guess you'll be back to a short bike for a bit unless Pashley speed up.Thanks to all the organisers and observers and apologies for scaring some of you - I might stick to blue next time (not that it really made much difference).Any chance of a working tap next time? I never did find one that had running water.Jamie
