Don't appriciate shit on here.its not shit that your getting, you both just need to take critiscm in a different way. you both seem to take it so personally, its not. you produce videos for people to see your riding, people are going to comment the good bits and the not so good bits. this just highlights the bits of your riding that maybe to become an all round rider you might want to focus on.... your obviously very good at gaps and sidehops, the point of the criticsm isnt to say " damn your shit at the other stuff" but more to point out to yourself that you might want to practise the other moves to make you a better rider on the whole.surely you want to become a complete rider and not just one that excels on 2 or 3 moves? Because people have expressed their opinion? Topics regularly erupt into arguments on here, especially where there's a conflict of interest between TGS/the rest is concerned. Seems to have been brought to a head with the tuckage thread over the past few weeks but you seriously shouldn't take it to heart. Thing is, for every member on here saying that they don't like what you're doing I bet there's 3 or 4 who are loving it (whether they posted in here or not). I don't necessarily agree with that but, as I said before, TGS is far more accessible to most people and is what get's the most attention on here.What's been posted in here is (mainly) constructive criticism, and it would be wrong to post a vid expecting everyone to love it without question in order to elevate your ego to the status of a trials god. I'd be disappointed if you didn't bother filming your riding anymore, especially if this topic was the reason. Keep riding so long as you enjoy it, film it if you want and accept criticism if people don't necessarily like what you produce. Also, if someone only points out one bad thing about the vid (moves, editting, whatever) that doesn't immediately mean that they thought that the entire video, encompassing everything else not mentioned, was shit. You have to read between the lines I guess and take the constructive criticism into account the next time around to try and please more of the people more of the time if you know what I mean. They just go straight in for the kill on the shit stuff.hmmm that maybe so, but then you can look at it that theyre seeing a large amount of only 2-3 moves, thats what they're going to comment on. as dave said, youve just got to read between the lines, you expect the bad critiscm so maybe thats why you only see it.i really dont think its wholly a personal thing, the majority of trials vids that are coming out atm are the same. younger riders on mods, witha million gaps and sidehops. its very hard to be complimentary or constructive on something that you've seen a fair few times before.thats why theres the scream for variation and not the same old TGS vid. sorry danny but trials isnt just about TGS and it certainly isnt just about one move followed by another single move.both you two are damn powerful riders with a fair bit of skill and control, just try and develop the rest of your riding.... get technical with it, control and precision are just as impressive as big moves to someone that rides trials. A wall is a wall, they were all fairly similar heights in there, so why put in all 35 or whatever it was someone counted of the same move on different walls?If you had got up the wall, gapped to something else, then tapped up another wall, it'd still be TGS riding, but it would make a MUCH better video. And its clear you're capable of getting up big walls... Your 'if no one appreciates my vid on here i won't bother making another one' comment was pretty silly in my eyes. Giving up on something just because some people don't like what you produced makes you very weak spirited. Most people have given you advice on how you could improve future videos (that you'll have to find another foum to post on...), you can't produce something thinking 'this is 100% perfect, if anyone disagrees they're wrong' unless you're an arrogant twat. How many times do people have to comment before anyone changes them even slightly?!Maybe it's an age thing...riders like me have been riding for years and years (7/8?) and have seen videos from the very beginning basically. And what strikes me when the subject gets brought up on rides etc. is that most people who've been riding for a long time find it depressing to watch videos these days reducing trials to three sole moves. Counter that in with the fact that all of them basically follow the same format every time, and even contain clips where the rider didn't even land the trick. Shouldn't you put a little more effort into a video, take a little longer and actually LAND every clip you put in instead of trying to blag it.
