Muel Posted April 4, 2008 Report Share Posted April 4, 2008 OBM knows about this stuff, I'm pretty sure it's retro drive, it uses two freewheels, so when you pedal foward on freewheel engages, giving one gearing, and when you pedal backwards the other freewheel engages, giving you the other gearing. Seems a bit daft, mostly because the shifting seems to be on the tensioned side of the chain, so everything has had to be reinforced lots to keep it together.
