Walleee
I kinda disagree with danny here, that could have snapped off by one sharp impact, i'd imagine the box would have been at least slightly damaged, but not nescessarily trashed. eskimo
You can claim up to £34 now for anything which isn't insured. To be fair, writing fragile on a parcel isn't going to stop me dropping it, it's just going to make me say "whoops". If it is valuable, better packaging is in order. monkeyseemonkeydo
To be honest I'd never even consider putting 'fragile' on a bike frame in transit... because, well, they're not. That must've been cracked beforehand for it to snap while en route- no way an impact could've done that. Also, letters and stuff are sorted in big nasty machines but big packages like that will be carried around depot's and I expect won't go near any sorting machines.Edit: any chance of a close up of the fracture surface? Should be able to tell if it's been cracked for a while.

mcinnes
I'm pretty sure that a frame couldn't snap in a box, the guy must have sold you a dodgy frame. Do you know the guy and or where he lives. If you do, go and try to get the money back. Edited April 2, 2008 by mcinnes

Hendrix
Sorry to see this man, but it looks like you've been had. There is a very very small chance that that could happen in transit, and I doubt it did.Money back, how did you pay?
Peperami
At least it was only £60 eh fella. Seems a pretty cheap price for a pitbull frame, likely he knew it was buggered before he sent it.Try get your money back, and onwards and upwards eh! Is the seller on here? gathsano
Before seeing your picture i was expecting to see a broken down tube or the rear triangle hanging off. It's definately a shitter because you can't ride but the part that's broken can be replaced. Tis just a drop out.
