txt2007
I was just in my back garden on my bike and the back brake kept slipping i have recently (2 and a bit weeks) bled it with water however it was my first attempt at bleeding so could a new bleed be in order? Brake setup: 05+ magura on a worn grind running kool stops red Second problem my TPA wheel is stuck and theres quite a big gap between the wheel and the pads.Maybe a third problem the reason why i had to bleed my back brake was because i took it apart to try and fix the lazy piston but i dont think i fully fixed it. Al_Fel
Its not too hard to take your lever apart. Might be worth just whipping it off and having a mess about with it.
Callum-Luvs-Trials
Second problem my TPA wheel is stuck and theres quite a big gap between the wheel and the pads. You may have to move your pads in further to the rim aswell.A tpa isnt used for settin up a brake. Adam-Griffin
yeah loosed it all the way off but then when i screwed it back in i think i cross threaded itI did that with mine not so long ago, i fixed it by heating up the metaltil it was really hot and then turned the tpa back and forth until it had cooled down and its still working now, im asuming it re-threaded it

Simpson
theres quite a big gap between the wheel and the pads.1st problem, Set up your Pads so that they are as close as possible and square to the rim, (without touching any buckles) so when you pull the brake the whole area of the pad hits the rim. Do this by undoing all the bolts and pushing the pads in. sure there something in the wiki.worn grind running kool stops red2nd problem, If youv'e got a shit set up, expect it to be... shit! Its no supprise even with a good set up alignment and bleed that your rim would slip with this set up, Get yourself some new pads and put a grind on. these days its not hard to get your hands on some pads for not much over a tenna, and a grind is free if you know a mate who will do it for you.could a new bleed be in order? If you start pulling the lever and the cyclinders move instantly then you dont need a new bleed, if it takes till about half pull (with TPA off) before your pads move then you deffo need a bleed. The TPA (Turbo pad adjuster) helps push you cyclinders out earlyer if there is a bit of air in the system, but get your bleed sorted 1st, again all techniques are on the WikiSecond problem my TPA wheel is stuck and theres quite a big gap between the wheel and the pads. The TPA being stuck doesnt explain the gap between your pads, you only sort this out by pushing them further in. not any bodges for the 05 tpa, there genrally pretty useless either buy a 74kings one, or just dont bother using it, if your bleeds good enough then there should be no need
txt2007
Thanks, i would just put up with the tpa but i'm having to pull the lever in too far before it bites and as with the 74kingz tpa wheel i dont think i'd help because it think the problems more the thread rarther than the wheel itself being stuck. And i know my setup isn't great but i just suddenly went worse =/
