Trials Bike Spokes

a few months ago my dad went under a height restriction with my bike on the roof, it was totally wrecked!!!

i took it to cycle world and they put a set of sapim spokes into the front and rear wheels. the front wheel has been fine due to the fact that it has a disc, but i have had real trouble with the rear wheel. i have already taken it back once after the nipple snapped horizontally( 5-6 weeks ago). the annoying thing is that is has just happened again!!!

i do have the spokes tight due to the nature in which i ride, they have to be tight otherwise i end up constantly buckling the rear wheel.

does anyone have any ideas about what i should do, or what spokes would be better than the ones that i have at the moment???

thanks

Generally, if you're snapping spokes either they're laced to tight or you're not riding smoothly enough. God knows what you're doing to snap nipples :-

However, there will always be the odd occasion one might go, and for the sake of 50p it's not worth much hassle. Buy a new one and stick it in, job done.

I'd say its more common to snap spokes because the tension is too low and/or uneven.

I ride with DT Champion. Don't laugh. I've got my reasons... They make up for the stiffest wheels, period. And as I'm not really a weight weenie it doesn't matter that they're heavy. And yeah, material fatigue is less of a problem on a wheel that's built to take the abuse from bad landings than getting the wheel tacoed.

But that's all just my opinion. I'm pretty much alone having it... :P
