Tomm
Get a mac? Nooooo, leopard has annoyed me with plugging in Cameras. On Tiger when you plugged in a camera, the card would show up in finder and you could just drag and drop which was much better than having to use the Canon software. But on Leopard they've changed it so CF cards no longer show up in finder when you plug in the camera. Annoying. To be honest it doesn't make very much difference to me, because I always use a card reader. But still...
Davetrials
ergh no luck, where will i find the drivers?its for a pc btw?
MadManMike
Search Google for whatever... "Fuji 5000 drivers download" - whatever the camera is.If the worst comes to the worst, get an SD card reader for £9.99 and take the card out of the camera every time... No ideal, but it'll work. No ideal, but it'll work.Should be a lot less than that. I got a 20-in-1 card reader a couple of years ago for £4, it's LOADS faster than copying through the camera. Card readers are well worth having.

Mark W
+1 for card readers. I don't have the drivers for my 30D, and if I do, they sure as f**k aren't working, so I just use my card-reader. Easy to slip it in my camera bag as well, meaning if I need to drop pics off with people when I'm out, I can put them straight onto their PC/Mac super easily. Good product to have

Tony Harrison
Shouldn't need drivers, should just work plug and play. So your best bet is to buy a card reader.

Ben Swales
i'm having a simlar problem with my dv camera - it's a sony dcr-hc26 handy cam, and i can't get my computer to recognise it. it is a new laptop, and on the old one i used a cardbus firewire connection, without installing any drivers, but there isn't a port for the cardbus on my new laptop, nor a firewire port, and the USB ports don't pick it up - anyone got any advice for me?
