Andrex
You may have seen a thread a while ago about me snapping my engagement ring in my hub, well I have another one now and need to get it out the hub shell but i can't really mange to do it. Has anyone got any ideas or a link that would be helpful?

Andrex
screw driver and hammerWell if it undoes anti-clockwise then there would be nothing for the screw driver to grip on.

Matthew62
Ask Hope, don't f**k it up like people on here would have you do.
basher
Hes hardly going to f**k it up as the only way of getting it out is brute force. The racket ring is screwed and then glued into place. So smacking it with scrwdriver and hammer is only way i can think. Or if its possible where it cracked bend that in to create a smaller circle and the racket fall out. cai
Or if its possible where it cracked bend that in to create a smaller circle and the racket fall out. This will be the quicker way (providing that it works) but if you do atempt it, be careful not to damage the threads on the hub shell. Muel
I'd see what the Tarty lot say, they must have had to do it a few times?
Al_Fel
I thought this was pretty much a HOPE only kind of job?
forteh
The only way to get it out would be to have the correct machined driver that interfaces with the ratchet, hammer and screwdriver will more than likely damage the threads and then you need to buy a new hubshell and drive ring Send it to hope they will fit a new one for you
AdamR28
I thought this was pretty much a HOPE only kind of job? They have an expanding wedge to do it. I don't recall the ratchet rings being available separately either, so even if you did get it out, the hub/wheel would have to go back to Hope for a new one.
