El Cristoff
In theory, yes, because it is making the pawls push more into the ratchet body.
bradnutter
Sound quite bad, though the wheel must sound good

Ben John-Hynes
Is it not loud enough already?Isn't the volume a result of the grease inside it?
cai
Isn't the volume a result of the grease inside it?Yeah it can be, as in the case of the Monty and Viz freewhells - there identical, apart from the Viz being silent, and the Monty being very loud! All a result of more or thicker lube/greece in the Viz.
abtrials
yea as said take it apart get all the grease out and use a oil it wirks much better like this as well, also you can just slightly flex the springs abit, i did this with mine and they are fine 7 months down the line also my pro 2 is the loaudest this out
Skoze
Do what we do to king's, take it apart carefully, clean it up and use a light oil instead of grease, should be reet.Matt
Muel
I took my Tensile apart and just cleaned all the grease out, and reassembled with WD40, it's super loud now.
bradnutter
Do u have to take the springs out to bend them or can u leave them in there when u bend the springs
Tobias
Isnt using oil pretty bad as it wont retain its position like a grease will?

But still, if you use enough WD40 then it should be fairly effective as a lubricant.
