Muel
Put one hand over the booster, can you feel it flexing when you pull the lever?Maybe your just pulling the lever too hard...
basher
Just take a good look, and see which is flexing the frame or booster. Then you no the problem.
lewis.jackson
So are you saying that if its the frame iv got a crack in it after one small ride?
basher
So are you saying that if its the frame iv got a crack in it after one small ride?noJust means that the booster is keeping everything at the top stiff and the frame must not be to stiff so is flexing. Theres not alot you can do about it
Janson
and the brake is bled ok?
lewis.jackson
I just had another look and its the booster that is flexing but the frame is as well se i think if i stiffen up the booster it will be fine.
AdamR28
With a flexy frame and a flexy booster, there will always be some flex. 5mm sounds way OTT - any chance of a more exact measurement? I would guess approx 2mm tops, which is fine.
lewis.jackson
and the brake is bled ok?Yer thats ok.With a flexy frame and a flexy booster, there will always be some flex. 5mm sounds way OTT - any chance of a more exact measurement? I would guess approx 2mm tops, which is fine. Its more then 2mm. Ill try and put a hs33 booster behind the rb to see what happens.
Ben John-Hynes
Take the booster offput the brake on without it and check the frame flexa crack will be more obvious too! Edited March 28, 2008 by Benjaminge
Ladd
Lewis when i had that rb booster on my echo it didnt sponge att all, and when i didnt have it on the frame was flexy. so the booster was stiff

cai
Lewis when i had that rb booster on my echo it didnt sponge att all, and when i didnt have it on the frame was flexy. so the booster was stiffOn my T-comp (07) the brake used to flex madly, I put a Tensile on it and that eliminated the flex.I've now switched to an RB booster and I can definatly feel it flex again, although its not enough to annoy me
lewis.jackson
I guess I'm just used to my leeson being steel and having no flex at all.I guess I'm just used to my leeson being steel and having no flex at all.
balfa
I can't fit my 4 bolt RB booster on my Ashton. The hole spacing isn't correct for my frame. Not sure how you managed to get it on. I've seen a cracked RB booster before but only after it had been bent.
