Sorry if it isn't, im quite new to rear drive.

Well was just a bit confused as to what you meant. I'm not entirely sure about the dimensions being similar enough to work together, the pro2 has a 6 speed freehub I think, whereas the xc will likely be able to take up to 9. Also unsure about the axles but I'd reckon they may be different.

If you want to try it I can measure my pro 2 for you and then will know if it's doable.

If I remember correctly, the XC ratchet ring only has 21 teeth, but the Pro II has 24, which would cause issues with alignment (not going to do the maths, but you may end up with lots of weaker engagements at uneven intervals). You may be able to replace the XC ratchet ring with a 24t ring from a Pro II.

I'd imagine the 6/9 speed freehub issue would cause problems too, and the axles may be tricky to make work

Would make for a good project, but look into what would be involved before you commit to anything just in case :)

Awh, i though it had a 24 on it :(
