I'm not too sure what you mean but if you've deleted a windows user account, when that account is deleted so are all the files stored on it.

I think anyway.

You can choose to delet or keep them and i chose keep.

Where abouts did you choose to keep them them?

If you know the directory you chose to keep them in, you'll know where they're located. Otherwise, maybe try the windows search system.

What you need to do is get into the 'Security' tab on the properties of the folder you are trying to access, within this tab there is something along the lines of replacing the ownership of this folder and all of its subcontents, it then changes the permissions and this then gives you full read/write access to the folder and all the files within

I cant really be of much help as im on my mac at the moment but give it a try, you will more than likely need to be logged onto the computer as the administrator aswell.

EDIT:

ive done a little searching for you and have run this in VMware to see it if works for you, firstly are you running Windows XP Home edition or professional?

All of this has to be done whilst logged in as administrator aswell, anyway if you are running professional its pretty simple to receive full permissions, firstly open up a windows explorer window (open up my documents or whatever), then go to 'Tools>Folder options' then select the 'View' tab, now down the bottom of the advanced settigs list make sure that 'Use Simple File Sharing' is unticked, if not then untick it and apply changes.

Now after youve applied this change, right click on the folder that you want to get access to and go into its properties and select the security tab.

Within the security window select the Advanced button, within this window select the 'Owner' tab, now you need to select the owner you want to grant full permissions to (that being your administrator account) then tick the little box that says 'Replace owner on subcontainers and objects' then hit apply and you should now have full permission it will replace the current owner (that probably being the old user) with the new user (administrator)

If you are running Windows Xp Home edition, then you need to do all of that in safe mode instead

If that doesnt work then ive just chatted a load of shit and i cant help you :P,
