Confused Sprockets

To be honest, if you can't wheelie with an 18/12 setup you need to change your technique rather than the gearing. A 13T on the back would make the gearing easier (and easier to lift the front wheel) but you'll probably end up having problems with chain length/tension etc and really isn't worth the hassle.

exactly what he said. instead of looking at your bike for a fault why you cant do something. Change your technique.

I ride experts in comps and i still cant wheel more than a few yards. Ive never practiced or learnt it as ive never used it.

18:13 will lighter gear than 18:12, which if you think your current gear is to high for you then by all means switch it.

But if its a simple case of 'I can't wheelie very far' than don't bother. I can't wheelie, the move is pointless to trials! If you want to look cool by balencing on your back wheel - learn to manual :D
