Ubuntu_user
Hey everyone! I just got my first trials bike! And I have NEVER ridden one before in my life, only MTB and so when it pop up on the back wheel, I'm scared of going over backward!!!! Sure I can go back far enough that I have to step off, but how do you recommend I get over this? Is this normal? LOL, I'm just a beginner......obviously! Sam F
Don't need to be scared. Just keep doing it and you will learn your balance on the back wheel and where your balancing point is.

wiremesh
Try becoming comfortable with your bike first, the geometry can be really weird for someone who has never ridden a trials bike in his life.Get your basics right before moving on to bigger moves, or harder techniques. Get your...Trackstand (BAlanCe)Pivot (twisting either rear or front wheel)Rockwalk (a pivot in motion sideways on the ground)Pogo (2 wheels hopping in place, small low hops)and finally your hopping on rear wheel. If you're falling back, while trying to hop on your rear wheel, it means that you're too far back. Theres a sweet spot of balance for you. You'll find it after awhile. Remember, the higher the front wheel, the higher ur butt shld be....the lower front wheel, the lower ur butt shld be.Arms should be bent, legs moderately bent...squish tight to your rear brakes... Good luck...

Ubuntu_user
Okay everyone, thanks for the input! As far as trackstanding, pivoting, etc. I have been doing this... I'll keep persisting on the rear wheel!
