Jason222
Hah, you guys in the UK have a much bigger scene than most places in the world! Canada has like 50 riders. lol
I-LikeMatchesDerFun
the trialsing scene in the uk is way bigger than in ireland to say the least! i'm from ireland and there doesn't seem to be that many riders. saying that, i do know about half a dozen riders that are big into it. anyone else from ireland on the forum? what's yur opinion? Marten@ScandinavianTrials
Trials is huge in the UK compared to here in Sweden... There is an interest for the sport but very few riders. Everybody thinks its cool, but then they go buy another NS Suburban and hit the dirt trail. Can't understand why...
Sam-Addy A3
Open your eyes, and go ride. Quit complaining about something that is right in front of you.Im not complaining mate, i don't want to start an argument over the internet, i was just wondering what people's opinions were really.Sorry if it came across differently Sam
maxwellduryea
Na, no problem, dawg. Im just saying...all of you guys (Except people in say Sweden, Ireland, etc.) have it made. Most of Europe has it made. Spain, England/Wales/Scotland, France, etc...all have relatively big numbers of riders. Your jaw would drop to the floor if you went for a "big" ride back in Albuquerque with me. Our good turn out is say five riders. And Albuquerque is doing pretty well when compared to the rest of the US. New Jersey house a few big names, as does Colorado (they house a lot of Cycling in general). But still, its NOTHING compared to here. nothing. Im not fighting with you buddy, im just saying, you got it made:) be thankful for it and cherish it, because some of us are not as well off. Marten@ScandinavianTrials
I just found out there is one more trials rider in the city where I live.Makes 2 out of a population of roughly 180000. Or, if you line up 90000 people, 1 will be a trials rider. Man that's awesome!
dan_addison
I think if trials had abit more exposure on TV then it would become a different kettle of fish. Some more shows like Drop In with a trials rider on showing what its about. I think trials is alot bigger in mainland europe mainly because it sorta started there riders like han's rey etc etc.

So i disagree about the "france" part of it.(notice how since my first post people have went to saying its big in the UK rather than saying its not known at all. ^^ Funny)
Jamie_Neal
I think trials biking shoots itself in the foot a bit as it is such an intimidating sport. I think if id been introduced to the sport by watching a Danny Macaskill Video i'd of never of saved a load of money up for my first trials bike. NickMaybe 5 mins to open someones eyes to trials has to be worth it - unless they're really drunk.
DARkON
trials is HUGELY UNpopular in the usa. i live in oklahoma and i have only HEARD of 2 trials riders beyond myself (i got into it last fall with my adamant a1), one of which doesnt ride anymore.the population of our state is about 3 million. how 'bout them odds?one of the only suppliers for parts is about 5 business days shipping away. 8( i've considered moving to a place where i can find more riders.side note, i have a really awesome time riding and learning and challenging myself with the new style. i too get the weird looks and "where's your seat?" it is funny bc i like watching people. wiremesh
As much as i hope that Trials would grow in size and the quality of riders, i guess being small has its advantages..heh...gives u a human touch of belonging in a small tight knit group!Well hopefully that is. Everytime i ride with my friends, i feel so blessed and lucky. Though we do disagree on stuff...but we're only humans...at the end of the day i guess the small group thingy bonds us as friends...in a tighter way.I'm -------> "Not Gay".
