pengsmelly
ye alexs hands can get quite bad sometimes, and hes been moaning about them all day today when we were riding lol. I would say gloves, but for some reason gloves seem to make my hands worse when i ride lol Your next bet is, i reckon, some really thick foam grips, that will keep the blisters down deffinatly (not sure about skin?) i used to use some really nice foams which hardly even ruined my hands, until the shop i used to get them from stop getting them lol. N.Wood
Apply the cream anyway? There was a book I read at English AS level, and i can't remember for the life of me what its called. But anyway, there was a dude in that who kept a latex glove full of vaseline on when he slept to 'keep his hand soft for his wife'.Maybe try something along those lines? JaMmY
Just rub the cream on your hand before you go to bed so it is on der for a good 10 hours or so... For a couple of nights.Thats what i did, i also found after sun worked as it cooled the blisters to reduce the swelling.

_Owen.
My foam grips ended up making my hand worse than ever! They compress and move too much imo. I now run ODI long necks, awsome grips, my hands are recovering aswell now Would reccomend them for sure! Owen

Greetings
I wouldn't use foam grips, from my experience they're worse than rubber ones.Try to get hold of some old Monty rubber grips, they were a bit thicker and softer than the Echos. And I'd also ditch using creams. Your skin needs to get hard and softening/healing it won't help in the long run nor will getting rid of your blisters.Don't use gloves either.Maybe you've got unusually fragile skin but that's what usually helps. Mike Winton.
Rubber grips and TALC its soooo good for hands and it stops you slipping
Gavyn.
I would stop riding for a bit. file of all the dead skin using one of those stone things. apply the cream for atleast a month. and you should be ok for summer get some decent gloves
bollo you ball-bag
i had this was bad form of eczema i stopped riding for a couple of weeks. i started riding again and it flared up again. i tried everything all the creams prescribed by a skin specialist. gloves. grips everything. this is the main reason i no longer ride my bikes sat in the garage doing nothing. i love trials but as soon as i ride my hands go gay. i would just grin and bear it but when my hands flare up i struggle to work. i sympathise with you. try running your hands under boiling water as this seemed to stop mine itching for a while. gurd luck dude
Joe 90
rule in dermatology - if its dry, whack on moisturisers and creams, if its wet, dry it out. If its a dry, itchy eczema type skin complaint I would use the cream, as others have said, applying it at night can help because you're not washing your hands or using them constantly so you lock in the moisture for longer. Putting a latex glove over too may help (as long as you've not got a latex allergy). The only problem is that if you use an oil based substance it can get you're bedding a bid grimey after a couple of nights. You could try putting the cream on followed by a latex glove under your riding gloves. Might cause a loss of grip and some slippage but worth a try.I would also suggest you avoid any strong washing detergents or shower gels or even try changing your washing powder. Soap will dry your skin out more than other stuff so avoid that too if possible and use a moisturising hand wash.If you're at the end of your tether go and see a dermatologist who may be able to suggest a decent steroid based cream depending on what's actually causing the skin complaint.good luck

Its mazzzzin. Was the little crazy dude with the slag of a wife i am sureAnyway as for the hands.. My auntie has that, I suggest just whap the cream on and hope for the best? Or run two sets of foam grips... I had to do that when my hands got unrideable.

Clownbike
Sounds to me like you have excema. My sister and I had it all over our bodies when we were kids, it was pretty severe, not to mention painful. Luckily we grew out of it, but i may get a small patch now and again on one finger (it's wierd its only one finger now lol). But apply the cream to the skin even if it is broken. Apply twice a day and avoid riding for a few days so your skin wont crack. Is the cream you use called "Elcon"? As this is good one i found. To help your skin stay lovely and smooth use dove silk shower gel, moisturise after every shower (the best is Vaseline, but you look greasy after). If it is just your hands make sure you moisturise after touching soap as any soap dries out your hands. Keep them warm and avoid exposure by wearing gloves. Now i have lovely soft skin which women like!!If you need anymore help just PM me .Neil
