Alex-Mitchinson
Isn't that just an overpriced full build koxx with white tyres?
Mark W
For the stuff you're getting (And considering it is made by Koxx), it's not really that 'overpriced'. For example, all the stem bolts are ti, even the headset preload bolt is ti. It's been thought out pretty well, apart from the literally hideous white tyre/fluoro yellow rim combo. Full-on let-down. Alex-Mitchinson
Yes it is probably the best specced bike you can get, and I didn't notice some of the minor details like Ti bolts but it is overpriced to start with. £2199 is fair price for what you're getting but the prices of them parts to start with is obscene. I know koxx has always been expensive, but the cost of the boxx and then little things like £35 for a single mod tyre is just silly. Koxx stuff is top quality and I use a lot of it but prices are getting out of control.PS: dont mean to have a go at koxx but had to make the point about pricing. Tomm
Yeah but you have to take that in the context of £4 tyres from Decathlon or wherever. Even if the raw material cost doubles, it shouldn't really make a big impression in the cost of expensive tyres.
craigjames
you say it wont effect things like exspensive tyres. i went to get a maxxis dh tube today and the trade price had gone up by nearly 2 pounds. thats a huge increase ona product that only costs 7-8 pounds retail. dan_addison
Rims look gash, would look better with white rims. But still who would buy a bike for that much which is just a fashion item really
Ticker
What is different from the standard one apart from tyres and stem, and aren't they the same price as a normal one?
JonMack
But still who would buy a bike for that much which is just a fashion item reallyNot thought of a rider who needs a complete new bike for a new comp season then? Maybe because they're fed up of their old bike breaking because all the parts are worn out?http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....howtopic=116688There's proof that the frames do sell, and here's proof that they get riddenhttp://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....howtopic=116701I get what you're trying to say, but they haven't released it as a "fashion item" they've released it as something different, because it's not very often you see that kinda comp spec bike, especially not with white tyres. It's a gap they've found in the market so they're going to make the most of it. Edited March 23, 2008 by JonMack
