What Do Neco Pads Work Best With?

i went on to the neco pads website and for the neco yellows it says

Designed for use on a light grind, these pads have been shown to offer great performance and incredible hold. Hand cut to keep the price low and with only a light grind your rim will last longer too. 8mm of material for even longer lasting pads.

do you think that they would be as good with a smooth rim, im just getting into try and get my brakes a bit better and i was wonderin weather these would work? :-

If you are keeping your rim smooth, then buy the Neco red pads, these are softer than the yellows and work really well on a smooth rim :)

on the website it says that there not out yet. do you know anywhere else that sells the reds

Also. There not not the same as the standard hs33 reds are they? cause i have them and there not that good.

Necopads is the only place that sells the pads :) They aren't the same as the magura red pads, I use the Neco red pads on the front and back and they work very very well!

I'm sure that if you contact the person who runs the site by emailing "enquiries@necopads.co.uk" you will get some more information and they will answer any further questions!

Hope I have helped :)

The only thing similar is that they're designed for magura/dengura rim brakes. The compound is entirely different to the magura koolstops.

Gotta' back the reds once again. I've been testing these pads and they really are amazing. Got a sort of sticky/graby feeling to them.

Nice and strong hold and lock. Loud noise.

Great pads on a smooth rim.

Danny.

Iv rode rode really soft pads before and they sort of squish which makes the brake feel spongey, Do these do that at all?

Might invest :)

They are not to bad actualy, i think with the full 8mm of rubber they might be, i have filed my reds down to about 5-6mm and they feel fine!

I am running the reds (designed for smooth rim) on a light grind and they are awsome! nice and bitey and have decent hold!
